With every deployment, the threat level was getting higher

I was thinking that if I got shot it didn't matter.

The missions they fly, the places they can land...It’s phenomenal.

Art isn't about them and us. It's just about us.

No amount of training can prepare you for the reality of blast wounds.

We had no machinery. But the kids with a cd player gave me an idea.

That's why they do it.

Like boy racers hanging out of a Tornado.

War is dark and terrible. And sometimes funny.

They called me a Combat Wombat.

I did everything the lads did and the stigma soon shifted.
