Lily Jepson joined the RAF in October 1941 in Blackpool, becoming a Leading Aircraft Woman. Her role was to help organise the admin of all the spare parts for RAF vehicles. Lily wanted to join the Air Force because she fell in love with the uniform. Having learnt invaluable skills and made lifelong friends during her time in service, the experience has stuck with her to this day. Lily was interviewed by volunteers at the RAFA Wings Centre in Preston.
