At 17 years old Aswin Rana was inspired to join the Royal Air Force after watching the Bollywood Film ‘Aradhana’, in which the central character is an officer in the Indian Air Force. Aswin became an Aerospace Operations Operator and whilst deployed in the Falklands and Afghanistan, realised how hard service life can be on the family left behind.
