Unbelievable discovery regarding my late Uncle Flight Lieutenant Gordon Hayter Proctor - whom I believe was an outstanding pilot - full of fun and mischief - a cheeky chap, and much loved brother of my late Mother, Vera and late Uncle Stanley. Undoubtedly they would have been thrilled to hear this story , not to mention his mother and father - Frank and Francis Proctor who received the telegram in 1944 to say he was reported missing whilst serving in Burma.
