Ernest gets caught out in the blackout and moves to RAF Kemble and on to Lyneham with 33MU. He was always asked to work on the fusilsges as he was small enough to get in them. As the technology of the planes changed he had to change with them. He worked on Prince Charles' royal plane at Kemble.
