I didn't keep in contact with the friends and colleagues I'd worked with as many of them disowned me.
During his time in the RAF Kevin qualified as a navigator where he saw active service during the first Gulf War, finally serving on 201 Sqn Nimrods. It was while serving at RAF Kinloss that he was outed to the RAF Police, suspended and eventually discharged. For the last year Kevin worked as a special projects consultant with Fighting With Pride and is now working with the National Memorial Arboretum to create a memorial for LGBT+ Veterans.
