So, she joined the RAF.
Then one day they were taken to a little house on an island.
It was all very secret and they were put
in tiny little cubicles.
All girls, was in little cubicles.
They were looking at a series of dots on a screen.
And it wasn't till the end of the week
when they've been doing on reporting
on the screen what they were told to report,
that some people were taken away and kicked out
and those that were staying
were then told that they were doing
a very secret operation which was radar.
So, my mother actually watched the Battle of Britain
as a little dots on the screen.
