They have managed to pull together
various traumas, and losing their careers,
losing their pensions,
losing their self-respect,
and through a variety of good work
persuaded military charities, persuaded
and persuaded, individuals that
we are a voice that needs to be heard,
that there is a need for an apology,
that there's a need for repatriation
recompense for a lost career
or a lost pension or lost medals.
But also there's a need to support
people like me
and stuck it in the attic,
Some of us are
both mentally and physically.
we're not getting any younger.
So they have a tremendous
support network of professionals
who can assist with mental health
charities or government departments
or, obligations.
But for the first time ever,

all forces were able to get together.
We're able to sit in a pub or
go and visit,
military cemeteries in France
as a group of like minded people
who have never been able
what they went
And that has been probably,
in my humble opinion, next to the apology.
That has been Fighting with Pride’s
the ability to get camaraderie back
to a group of former military personnel
because that had been denied
them for 30 odd years.
