Lightning Strike

Transcript

Up in the Brecon Beacons,

a wave of thunder storms coming through

across the country

and we had reports,

someone had been struck by

which we obviously responded to.

En route, it started coming through that

maybe there were two

And that's possible,

probably in the same location,

so, obviously, picked them both up

there was plenty of room in the aircraft.

So, it was about a 25, 30 minute transit

before we crossed the coast

Mountain Rescue, up in the mountains.

And it turned out, yeah,

And we turned up on the first scene,

and the chap had been struck.

He was having CPR, ongoing.

His friend, who was with

He was conscious and walking.

We got them on board

thinking we had two casualties

and then realized, over the radio,

No, no, no, turn around.

On a different mountain,

On two separate mountains,

by lightning at the same time.

So we made a quick decision,

decided it's actually

and get the second guy

So we ended up with three guys, all.

Two of whom have been

on the aircraft.
