They're like family.
They're your brothers.
Working with them day in day out, 12 hours a day.
You go digging with them you go eat in me room.
Basically you do every move
every food with them seven days a week.
So a good bunch of lads and they're like family.
They're better than your own brothers.
They're the real blood.
That's the beauty, the events, training was great,
all the training, just having a laugh.
Being part of a family.
It's absolute best feeling in the world.

Ian Sweet’s interest in the RAF began as a Cadet at 1444 (Brownhills) Squadron. He would later join the RAF Regiment, which saw him undertake jungle training in Belize and a tour of Iraq. Ian has now returned as an instructor at his old cadet squadron, where his daughter is currently following his footsteps
