was one of the first times we did actually march
in London Pride in uniform, in full number one uniform
as RAF and the support that came
from the crowd was unbelievable.
We were all really nervous of it,
we didn't quite know what to expect.
But the applause,
the roars of cheers and stuff
that came out the crowd was fantastic
and it was such an uplifting...
It's that old thing of people saying
you could literally feel yourself standing taller.
All of us who'd done it said, literally,
we could feel our spines just growing
and just standing taller from it
and realizing that actually, you know what,
this is not a big deal anymore.
There is not a reason to hide or anything like that.
That support that came off the public was fantastic,
and I'd say certainly one of the best feelings
that I've ever had.
